As part of efforts to build relationships in the community, the Port of San Diego Harbor Police Department invites the public to the agency’s very first “Coffee with a Cop” event. The mission of “Coffee with a Cop” is to break down barriers between police officers and the citizens we serve, one cup at a time, and allow people to interact with local law enforcement in a friendly, relaxed environment.
“Coffee with a Cop” will be held 8 to 10 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018, at the Port Pavilion on Broadway Pier, 1000 North Harbor Drive, San Diego, CA 92101. The event includes a free cup of coffee for each attendee and the opportunity to engage in casual conversation with Harbor Police officers or to ask general and specific questions.
The Harbor Police Department believes establishing trust between our community and our officers is extremely important. The “Coffee with a Cop” program is a unique way to strengthen partnerships between our officers and the community we serve.
